Kilmarnock bound: All set for SUPERteams final and Track Relays

Thursday 25th June 2026

Sunday Start-lists for Track Relays

There is another busy weekend of #4Jathletics looming with Kilmarnock the place to be!

The Ayrshire Athletics Arena plays host to our biggest outdoor track and field event on Sunday when we stage the National Track Relays.

Younger athletes at our clubs will gather at the venue some 24 hours earlier for the National SUPERteams Final.

Sunday’s event sees Scottish championship medals up for grabs across team events over various age groups.

We are delighted to have no fewer than 224 teams entered – that’s more than 800 athletes!

This year for the first time the programme at Kilmarnock includes a Masters 3 x 800m Scottish Championship for athletes aged 35+ on the day.

At this juncture, we say a big thank you to entered clubs and their athletes, coaches and team managers. We say thanks in advance to our scottishathletics Officials for helping to deliver the Track Relays.

Saturday details for SUPERteams

On Saturday, the SUPERteams final takes place after regional heats were held throughout Scotland in April and May.

During the final, clubs will be represented by mixed-gender teams of four athletes who will take part in a sprint, jump, throw and relay to earn points for their team.

After four events, the team with the highest overall team score will take home the 2026 SUPERteams trophy.

These athletes are among the youngest at our clubs and this is very much a development event with a focus on learning, many competing for the time, teamwork and with support and guidance from coaches and Officials.
