Knicks fans could help Spurs

The Knicks fans could help the Spurs win the NBA title. Last night, the Knicks fought hard to win Game 4. Then fans went out into the street and began trashing property. A fan threw an egg at Victor Wembanyama. Fans cornered Spurs fans in the street and told them to take off their jerseys.

Knicks almost lost

The common question after games is: Did the Spurs lose or did the Knicks win? The Knicks spent a lot of energy on defense to erase a 27 point deficit after halftime. The Spurs players admitted that they “took the foot off the gas in the second half.”

At the start of the third quarter, the Spurs were shooting and missing threes playing one-dimensional offense. This allowed the Knicks team to regain their balance. Victor Wembanyama attempted nine three-point shots in Game 4, but only four attempts in game 3. The Spurs are a well-coached team and franchise.

Wemby not playing but fighting

Victor Wembanyama is “getting coddled” by the NBA. He shoved Jalen Brunson in Game 3 and the NBA admitted he should’ve received a flagrant foul but they didn’t issue him one. Wembanyama spent a lot of energy taunting Mitchell Robinson in Game 4 saying to Robinson, “I’m in your head.” But, Wembanyama may be talking about himself as he took 25 shots to score 23 points.

Wembanyama attempted nine three-point shots during the game so he wasn’t being productive on the floor. On the Instagram page of Drenchman Sports, he analyzes that the Knicks are forcing Wembanyama to the perimeter.

Knicks fans didn’t help after the game

Knicks fans exaggerated their celebrations after they left Madison Square Garden. Fans threw eggs at Victor Wembanyama as he exited the team bus into his hotel. A police officer was struck in the face with a glass bottle thrown by a fan. No doubt that Spurs fans will be ready to cheer on the Spurs in Game 5.

After Game 3, a Spurs fan was attacked by Knicks fans during a viewing party at Bryant Park. Knicks fans were verbally and physically harassing Spurs fans, so no doubt about it, there will be undesirable Spurs fans that will want retribution on traveling Knicks fans. OG Anunoby‘s offensive tip-in to win had a much bigger impact than any verbal jab at a Spurs fan.

Here it is — If the Knicks lose the NBA Finals, the fans will have contributed to their losing because of their behavior.
