KRAFTON India has officially rolled out the BGMI 4.4 update, bringing one of the biggest content expansions in the game’s history. The latest update transforms Battlegrounds Mobile India into a more creative and community-driven platform as the game prepares to celebrate its 5th anniversary in India on July 2, 2026.
The BGMI 4.4 update introduces a brand-new Hellenistic theme mode called Hero’s Crown, player-designed cosmetics, major collaborations, anniversary events, and several new spins and crates.
Speaking on the development, Srinjoy Das, Director – Marketing and BGMI Product Management, KRAFTON India, said: “The most powerful things we’ve done at BGMI were always fan-first and fan-driven. A real couple fell in love inside the game – we hosted their wedding. Every Indian who grew up in the ’90s remembers trading cricket trump cards at recess – we built that feeling into the game with Cards. A fan designed something incredible during Diwali as part of the BGMI Design Contest – now every fan in India can experience it. That’s the creative platform that sits alongside WOW mode, where crazy themed maps are dropping from fans every single day. Five years in, we’ve never felt more excited about what this community is going to bring us next.”
BGMI Design Contest Spin Arrives in 4.4 Update
One of the biggest highlights of the update is the BGMI Design Contest (BDC) Spin. Cosmetics designed by BGMI players during the Diwali 2025 Design Contest are now becoming permanent premium in-game collectables.
The BDC Spin will run from June 16 to July 17, 2026, and includes seven cosmetic items, including the Fortune Teller AWM skin.

New Hero’s Crown Theme Mode
The new Hero’s Crown Theme Mode will run from May 20 to July 14, 2026. The mode introduces a Greek mythology-inspired floating island called Crown’s Abode along with major changes to Erangel locations like Ruins and Ferry Pier.
Players can complete five special trials including Prometheus’, Achilles’, Spartan’s, Icarus’, and Gryphon Trials to earn Glory points during matches. A PvE boss fight against the centaur Helios has also been added.
Ford, Harley-Davidson, and Creator Collaborations
The update also brings several major collaborations to BGMI. The Ford Collaboration runs from May 20 to July 7, 2026, featuring exclusive vehicle skins through the Motor Cruise mechanic.
Meanwhile, the Harley-Davidson Collaboration will introduce four special bike skins through a dedicated crate from May 29 to July 11.
Popular creators like Bhuvan Bam and Ravi Gupta are also joining the game through special voice pack spins.
BGMI 5th Anniversary Celebration
BGMI will officially complete five years in India on July 2, 2026. KRAFTON revealed that the game has crossed 260 million downloads in the country.
The 5th Anniversary Exchange Event will run from June 25 to July 5 with special rewards and anniversary-themed POIs on Erangel and Livik. Fireworks events will also take place on July 1 and July 5 from 8 PM to 10 PM IST.
Flash Crew Feature Introduced
A new social feature called Flash Crew has also been added in the 4.4 update. It recommends teammates based on playstyle and team chemistry while rewarding squads for playing consistently together.
With major collaborations, fan-created content, and anniversary celebrations, the BGMI 4.4 update is shaping up to be one of the biggest updates ever released for the game.
