Kyle Busch’s wife shares emotional message about his passing

Samantha Busch has spoken publicly for the first time since the “heartbreaking” passing of her husband, NASCAR legend Kyle Busch, more than two weeks ago.

She shared the emotional message on social media alongside a portrait of the family on Friday, thanking all of his fans for their support.

“The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives,” Busch wrote on her Instagram account.

“While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we have felt God’s presence and arms wrapped tightly around us through each and every one of you.”

Sudden and severe illness last month

The stock car driver and racing team owner died May 21 at the age of 41 after being admitted to a Charlotte, N.C., hospital earlier in the day with a sudden and severe illness.

The family said severe pneumonia and sepsis was the cause of his death.

“The love that has surrounded our family during this unimaginable time has brought comfort in the middle of so much pain,” she continued.
