Forward Robert Lachowicz reaches the special milestone of 100 caps in this evening’s game with Switzerland at the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship at the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich.
He will also captain the team after being handed his jersey with the C on by Robert Dowd in a special locker room ceremony ahead of the game.
The 36-year-old becomes the eighth player to reach a century of caps following in the footsteps of Robert Dowd, David Longstaff, Matthew Myers, Davey Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Mark Richardson and Ashley Tait.
Lachowicz made his debut in the 2011 World Championship Division I Group B tournament in Kyiv, Ukraine.
He scored his first international goal against France in the Final Olympic Qualification tournament in Riga, Latvia in February 2013.
The ceremony in the locker room pre-game was led by a speech by General Manager Andy Buxton, while Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French presented the 100th cap to Lachowicz.
Congratulations to Lacho on reaching a very special milestone!
