The May 26 episode of NXT brought the usual action from WWE’s developmental brand. That included a debut for an exciting new Superstar.
The NXT brand is full of new Superstars, and this week we saw another one prove their worth in the squared circle. Layla Diggs is now in NXT, and she stepped up to Jaida Parker.
Last week on NXT, Jaida Parker and Layla Diggs had a backstage confrontation. That resulted in a match this week on the show, marking Diggs’ NXT debut.
Layla Diggs is a new face in NXT, but shes’ not alone. Since the main roster called up so many Superstars, NXT is doing their best to fill out the roster with new faces that they can push to carry the brand. In the end, Parker was able to beat Diggs, but it was still an impressive showing.
Before making her NXT debut tonight, Layla Diggs had only wrestled a couple of televised matches on WWE LFG: Legends & Future Greats. On May 3, 2026, she lost to Carlee Bright in a singles match, and one week later on May 10, Diggs teamed with Masyn Holiday to defeat PJ Vasa and Sirena Linton.
Only time will tell what Layla Diggs does next in NXT. At this point, you never know who will break out next. This week was certainly a good first showing.
