Roger Sparrow has been an avid cyclist all his life, and has been in the business of making equipment for bikes since the 1990s. Initially that meant developing innovative components under the Ultimate Sports Engineering name, such as improving on the lefty-style suspension fork concept. More recently it has involved developing cutting-edge bike lights for the Exposure brand, which operates under the USE Group umbrella.
It’s Sparrow’s ‘If you want a thing done well, do it yourself’ attitude towards in-house engineering that has driven the business forward over its multi-decade existence. USE’s range has expanded to offer clever components for every riding discipline, while Exposure’s lights have become world-renowned for their construction quality and performance thanks to Sparrow’s early adoption of LED technology.
