Dolphin have had a number of players captaining the Irish Men’s Senior & U20 sides. While a former Dolphin Player Lucia will be captain of the U21’s side, Dolphin RFC had the honour of seeing it’s first member captaining a women’s international team team as Lily Byrne led the side against Scotland this weekend.

Congratulations to Lily Byrne on her inclusion in the Ireland U18 Women’s squad for the 6 Nations Championship.

Lily is no stranger to representative honour’s, captained the Munster U16’s 7’s to victory in the interprovincial series and has also captained the Munster U18.5 side.

Lily was one of 13 of the squad to play in last years 6 nations which takes place again in Wellington College in England.

Lily’s father Damian is the head coach of the Dolphin women’s u18.5’s and Senior sides, her sisters Susie & Emma in the Senior Squad- Emma also played a number of games in the AIL League with Ennis as a dual status player.
