Lio Rush finally has some gold in AEW/ROH.
Rush captured the ROH World Television Championship at ROH Global Wars Cincinnati, defeating AR Fox and Action Andretti in a three-way match to walk out as the new champion.
The finish came when Rush dropped his former CRU teammate Andretti with a Blue Thunder Bomb and scored the pinfall. Just like that, AR Fox’s short run with the title was over.
This marks Rush’s first reign as ROH World Television Champion. It is also his first championship under the AEW/ROH banner, making the win a pretty big moment for him after bouncing around plenty of different spots in his career.
Fox’s title reign lasted 33 days, dating back to his win at Supercard Showdown, which was taped on May 9. He held onto the belt through five successful title defenses before losing it at the June 10 taping of Global Wars Cincinnati.
Now the belt belongs to Lio Rush, and that adds a fresh wrinkle to the ROH TV Title scene. Rush has always had the speed, confidence, and mouth to carry a championship, and now he finally has one in AEW/ROH.
