Live From the Blue Seats is back as Dave and Producer JL talk optimism heading into the 2026-2027 season. The Rangers have about 70-75% of a team that can truly compete right now, and though a lot needs to go right for the Rangers to be a true competitor, some of the pieces are there. The Rangers have a solid top line and one of the best top defense pairs in the NHL, plus the best goalie in the NHL. They also have solid young depth and though it’s a small sample size, there’s reason to believe the kids should be able to grow into bottom six roles.
