Live: Yorkshire Men v Sussex, Rothesay CC, Day Three

From Headingley, where it’s dry but overcast ahead of day three.

We’re all set for an 11am start, with Yorkshire on 192-1 in reply to Sussex’s first-innings 502 all out.

Fin Bean 102 not out and Sam Whiteman with 73 unbeaten shared an unbroken 175 for the second wicket.

It was a Yorkshire record partnership for that wicket in first-class matches against Sussex, beating the 171 shared between FS Jackson and David Denton at Sheffield (Bramall Lane) in 1904. Quite the pair to beat!

They will be looking to plough on this morning and go from there.

Clearly, with the likes of Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow to come, the White Rose could still put some pressure on Sussex at the back end of this game. Equally, early wickets this morning and Sussex will feel the same.

Realistically, the draw is still the white hot favourite given the placid nature of the pitch.
