Logan Webb is Vying for Mr. Consistency- Player Commentary- June 15, 2026
Logan Webb– P- SF- Hot- Webb allowed an unearned run on 7 hits while walking no one and striking out 7 in 8 IP. This is his third straight start of at least 7 IP while giving up no more than 1 run. In his start before this stretch, his first one coming off the IL due to bursitis in his knee, he allowed 1 run on 3 hits while walking 3 but striking out 5 in 4.1 IP. Webb’s ERA is at 3.36 and his FIP is 2.99. He has only 3 starts of less than 6IP, with those being his first start of the season and the ones immediately before and after going on the IL. Webb has shown consistency in 2026.
Jac Caglianone-OF- KC- FYI- With Vinnie Pasquantino out for a prolonged stretch, Caglianone will be the primary 1B for the Royals. His first game there was decent. Caglianone went 1-for-4 with a run and RBI. It snapped a 2-game hitless streak, which came after a monster series with Texas where he went 9-for-12 with a double, 2 homers, 5 runs, and 4 RBI. Caglianone has seen his slash line go from .235/.302/.392 to .269/.344/.438 since May 27th. His power metrics are elite with a 93.7 EV, 57.2% HardHit% and 15.2% Barrel%. Caglianone is on his way to living up to the potential he exhibited in the minors.
Adrian Morejon– RP- SD- Hot- When you are in the same bullpen as Mason Miller, saves are not going to be coming your way very often. Morejon only has 1. However, in leagues that count holds, he still has value. Morejon picked up his 12th hold of the season yesterday. His ERA of 4.00 is not stellar but he has been the victim of some bad luck, as demonstrated by his 2.22 FIP and 2.15 xFIP. Morejon also has a solid K/9 of 10.25 and his total of 33 games and 36 IP has him as a frequent contributor. In leagues where saves are not the be all and end all Morejon is a valuable asset and could be underpriced.
Miles Mikolas– P- WAS- Hot- Mikolas has shown some Jekyll and Hyde tendencies since he was put in the role of follower. Yesterday was a Dr. Jekyll day as he threw 7 scoreless IP against the Mariners. Mikolas only struck out 3. This followed another scoreless appearance of 4.2 IP. The problem is that in the outing before that one Mikolas was charged with 6 runs in 6 IP. Mikolas isn’t the total disaster area he looked like early in the season, but he hasn’t established a level of consistency making the risk level worth it.
Keibert Ruiz– C- WAS- Hot- Ruiz went 3-for-4 with a homer, 2 runs, and 2 RBI yesterday. He is now slashing .282/.302/.507 with 6 homers in 149 PAs. Ruiz has been overperforming. His xBA heading into yesterday was .220 and his xSLG was .357. Ruiz’s EV of 89.6 and HardHit% is 39.7%. his results have kept him as the Nats’ primary backstop. If regression sets in there could be an opening for Harry Ford, who was acquired in the offseason. Ford would have to improve on his performance at AAA Rochester. Ford is slashing just .204/.333/.268.
