English-Ghanaian forward Maleace Asamoah found the net as Shamrock Rovers cruised to a commanding 4-1 victory over Drogheda United at Tallaght Stadium on Monday evening.
The 23-year-old attacker struck in the 66th minute, capping off a dominant display from the league leaders.
John McGovern opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Matthew Healy doubled the advantage six minutes later with an assist from Jack Byrne.
Drogheda United pulled one back through Mark Doyle early in the second half, but McGovern restored the two-goal cushion in the 58th minute with his second of the match, assisted by Victor Ozhianvuna. Asamoah then sealed the victory with his strike, courtesy of a McGovern assist, completing an impressive team performance.
The forward has now registered one goal in six appearances for Rovers in the 2026 Irish Premier Division campaign. Shamrock Rovers is first on the league table with 31 points after 15 games.
Asamoah earned an impressive 8.2 match rating by Sofascore for his contribution against Drogheda.
