Goals from Luke Shaw, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo earned Manchester United an impressive 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Red Devils have been hugely improved since Michael Carrick took temporary charge of the club in January, and the former England international is now expected to be appointed permanently.

United face a trip to the south coast to face Brighton and Hove Albion on the final day of the season on Sunday, but in the meantime it appears that the Manchester outfit have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of a Serie A superstar.

As per CaughtOffside, AC Milan could now be willing to accept more creative offers for winger Rafael Leao this summer.

The Portugal international is on the radar of Manchester United ahead of this summer’s transfer window, but his staggering £152 million release clause has so far limited their interest.

According to the report, though, the Serie A giants will be more willing to negotiate this summer, with Leao set to enter into the final two years of his current contract.

Having joined Milan from French side Lille in 2019, Leao has made 290 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 80 goals and registering 65 assists.

Interestingly, the report also suggests that Manchester United could consider a player-plus-cash deal in order to persuade their Italian counterparts to agree a deal.

Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte are all named as players that could potentially be included in an offer, with all three having been heavily linked with moves away from Old Trafford.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all also mentioned as clubs that have shown an interest in the Portuguese.
