British sock manufacturer Bridgedale has announced a distribution agreement with Marches Parts Co Ltd.
For over 100 years, Bridgedale has been manufacturing socks from its Belfast factory, and 2023 saw the brand successfully move into the bike market with a dedicated range of technical bike socks for both men and women. Now it announces a new partnership with Marches Parts Co to distribute this range to the IBD market.
Bridgedale will be joining a growing number of brands in the Marches portfolio, which already includes PNW Components, Mudhugger and Godfather’s Garage. The Shrewsbury-based team will be responsible for growing the bike retail network for Bridgedale in the UK and Ireland, as well as looking after all after-sales queries and customer service. They will also be working closely with Bridgedale’s marketing team to promote the brand and their retail partners to the cycling public.
Speaking about the new partnership, Bridgedale’s International Sales and Marketing Manager Ross Harben said:
Since launching the bike range, we have seen steady growth across the UK and Irish markets”
To continue this growth and to further develop our product range for IBDs, we needed to find a distributor who could help move us forward and who is genuinely passionate about the brand. Marches are that ideal partner, and we are excited to work with Sandy and Matt to grow both our businesses and those of our retail partners.
Sandy Plenty, one half of Marches Part Co, commented that, having personally worn Bridgedale socks for some time, he was keen to work with the brand.

“Upon meeting the team behind the brand, both Matt and I were fully committed to working with them and bringing the range to the IBD network”
“Bridgedale is now on our B2B site alongside our other brands, and we are inviting IBDs to try out the range and feel the difference for themselves,” he concluded.
