BALATON, Hungary — It was a milestone victory for Marc Marquez on Sunday as MotoGP returned to the Balaton Park Circuit for the second consecutive year.
Marquez rode his Ducati to his 100th victory across all classes with a captivating performance which capped another comeback from injury for the multi-time MotoGP champion.
Marquez joined Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi as the only riders with 100 or more victories across the MotoGP platforms.
Marquez rode home ahead of fellow Spaniard Pedro Acosta, who was aboard a Red Bull KTM Factory Racing machine.
Third place went to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) as the Italian collects a third P3 trophy.
Ai Ogura’s late race pace shone through again, the Japanese rider overtook Luca Marini in the closing stages to earn fourth, with the Italian earning an equal-best HRC result in fifth.
