May 29, 2026 — Friday Statwatch for games played through May 27

Hi, all.

This is the time of the year where we are scrambling for new sources of lacrosse statistics, and combing through social media for players who break through certain milestones. But we’ve also noticed that some teams are celebrating more than just goals and assists, but number of goalie saves, draw controls, and other defensive statistics.

Perhaps the game of lacrosse is about to move away from what had been an era of profligate scoring? I guess we’ll see in a few years once we’ve gotten more perspective.

Below in the red are our usual provisional gathering of American scholastic lacrosse statistics from available published sources, including MaxPreps, Berks Game Day, the KHSAA, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, PhillyLacrosse, and Advance Media. If we can get more teams, state federations, and local leagues to adopt the easy-to-use MaxPreps.com platform, we can aim for as complete a statistical picture of the country as possible.
