Debra Danner has been a volunteer for Morton Golf Foundation since 2017.
In 2013, Debra retired from the California State Senate as an Executive Assistant where she worked for the past 26 years.
When Debra decided to retire she knew that more golfing and volunteering would be first on her list of things to do.
Debra has been playing golf for many years. She got interested in the game with friends who had the same passion and played golf every weekend.
Debra is blessed to have 4 generations living in her household today. When she is not on the course she gives hugs to her grandchildren and tells them all about her golf rounds throughout the week. She will be a great teacher and mentor to her family when they decide to take-up the game.
Morton Golf Foundation is so privileged to have Debra Danner as one of their key volunteers. Whenever she is asked to volunteer she is the first one to sign up and always willing to give back.
Debra’s favorite volunteer position of the year is when Special Olympics host their annual “Golf Regionals” at Haggin Oaks. Special Olympics brings over two hundred special needs athletes to participate in golf skills and Debra is one of the many volunteers that has the opportunity of mentoring them one on one.
Debra can always be seen with a smile on her face and time available to help grow with Morton Golf Foundation.
Thanks, Debra for all you continue to do to make a difference.
