Meme fest erupts as Pakistan lose by an innings and 47 runs to England in Multan

After England put on a humongous total of 823/7 and took a lead of 267 runs on the fourth day, Pakistan would be swept away as they ended up losing 6 wickets during the remaining day and that too for only 152 runs.

On the final day, Salman Ali Agha and Aamir Jamal would try their best in getting Pakistan into the lead and both even went on to score their fifties. However, after the former got out for 63, it was pretty much over for the hosts. Next batters, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah would be dismissed for 10 and 6 respectively as Pakistan got bowled out for 220 runs and ended up losing the match by an innings and 47 runs.

With this loss, Pakistan became the first-ever team in the history of Test cricket to lose a match after posting a total of over 500 runs in the first innings. This defeat also saw Pakistan drop to the bottom-last spot on the World Test Championship (WTC) table with only 2 wins and 6 losses in the 8 matches played so far in the ongoing WTC cycle.

After this humiliating defeat, a meme fest erupted on social media where several people trolled Pakistan and their players for their poor performance in the Multan Test.
