Mike Perry blasts ‘shameless people’ criticizing dominant win over Nate Diaz at Rousey vs. Carano

Bare Knuckle FC superstar Mike Perry sent a fiery message to those who are downplaying his dominant win over Nate Diaz.

Mike Perry became the first fighter to finish Nate Diaz in nearly seven years in their Mixed Martial Arts fight last Saturday at Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. In a fight that was expected to be electric for as long as it lasted, Perry vs. Diaz entertained the masses, although it was a one-sided beatdown.

Perry put on one of the most dominant performances of his MMA career, defeating Diaz by corner stoppage after opening up multiple cuts on Diaz’s face. It marked Perry’s first MMA win since a June 2020 unanimous decision victory against Mickey Gall in what would be one of his final UFC appearances.

Despite Perry’s impressive performance, many believed Diaz’s lackluster showing was the bigger storyline of the fight as compared to Perry’s output. Some fans called for Diaz to retire after the Perry fight, to which the Stockton star vehemently declined.

Mike Perry goes on wild social media rant against vocal critics of Nate Diaz win

In a recent tweet, Perry hit back at those fans downplaying his win over Diaz.

“Leon was just Champion, Nate just almost knocked him in the 4th and 5th of their fight, the fact it went that far is just not gonna happen with the energy I’m bringing,” Perry said.

“We don’t get praised with a post when we pass our drug tests which we were tested, that was all sacrifice. You can’t take it from me. Before the fight it was “not sure” and “Nate looks better than he has in years” bunch of shameless people saying this and that you guys spew garbage and I hope that’s where you’re headed. Sit at home eating cake everyday but I’ll go back to the gym and maybe I’ll bleed more next time, maybe I have another smash hit.

“At least I’ll be working for something,” Perry continued. “The real fans who know what we go through, what we put into this, what our families and close friends go through to help us. Only God can make those connections, and that’s what makes it all so special. Signed, The King.”

Perry remains under contract with Bare Knuckle FC and could potentially return to the bare-knuckle ring later this year. A UFC reunion isn’t out of the question, either, as Perry continues to press for more marquee bouts.
