Combat sports star Mike Perry has taken the time to reflect on his emphatic win over Nate Diaz last weekend.
On Saturday night, Mike Perry went head to head with Nate Diaz in what was the real people’s main event at the first ever MVP MMA event. Mike was considered to be the favorite by many, but everyone knew that if the fight got into the later rounds, Nate had a real chance at springing an upset.

Alas, due to the incredible amount of blood that he lost during the contest, Diaz was forced to retire on the stool with Perry being awarded the win. Of course, Mike hasn’t been overly active in MMA as of late, instead choosing to focus his attention on the world of bare-knuckle boxing.
In his post-fight press conference appearance, Perry had the following to say about his battle with Diaz.
Perry looks back at Diaz triumph
“He was landing jabs and I was like, ‘I’ve got to move my feet more,’” Perry told MMA Junkie and other reporters at the post-fight press conference. “I think I was working at a pace that – obviously I was bringing it, but I was thinking about five rounds because I was hitting him and I was like, ‘Damn, he’s going to be here.’ Sitting down in the second round I was like, ‘There’s no way it’s going to continue.’ I knew, and sure enough, too much blood. I felt kinda bad. But that’s my job. I worked really hard. I trained really hard. I’m violent as f*ck, and I can take it, too.”
“I think I was the best welterweight in the world tonight, to be honest with you,” Perry said. “I think I would hurt anybody, damage anybody. I made this weight crazy. I looked crazy physically.”
When asked about a rematch, Platinum had the following to say.
“Dude, it’s free money, bro,” Perry said. “I’m going to win that fight. I would do the same thing.”
