Mobilizing the Continent for the Final Phase of Registration – Esports Africa News

Esports Africa News and SAGES Africa, in partnership with the Esports Foundation, are launching Africa at ENC, a continent-wide campaign designed to mobilize African esports talent around the Esports Nations Cup (ENC). The objective: ensure a structured, visible and competitive African presence at this global competition.

The ENC registration process has been organized intoin three phases. The first two — applications as National Team Partner (NTP) and National Team Manager (NTM) — are now closed and have already enabled several African nations to engage. The Esports Foundation is now opening the third phase, which represents the final window of participation, and is calling directly on national representatives, communities and players to step forward.

A Direct Pathway for Nations

This phase allows any country to submit a national player roster directly, even in the absence of an established federation or official structure. It is currently the most effective way to secure a nation’s participation in the ENC.

The 9 (nine) titles that are open for roster applications are PUBG:Mobile, Valorant, League of Legends, Mobile Legends Band Bang, Honor of Kings, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Rocket League, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Dota

All solo player titles (EA FC, Chess, SF6, Fatal Fury, Trackmania) will have an open qualifier process where any player can sign up directly (more signup info to follow).

Apex and CS2 will have open qualifiers where multiple teams from the same country can sign up to qualify for ENC. More details to follow on ENC website, the official channel for all information relating to the competition.

⚠️ Important: The application form closes on May 10th!

Beyond the Tournament

For the campaign’s initiators, the stakes go far beyond competition. Coordinated participation drives visibility and credibility, attracts sponsors and investors, and creates lasting opportunities for players, coaches, analysts, broadcasters and developers. Africa is home to one of the fastest-growing gaming populations in the world, powered by a new generation ready to compete, build and lead.

The approach is rooted in alignment — between federations, tournament organizers, media, content creators and community leaders — around a common message addressed to the global industry.

A Call to Action

The Africa at ENC campaign speaks directly to national stakeholders: representatives are urged to take the initiative, communities to mobilize their talent, and leaders to organize the response. The message is clear: Africa is no longer asking for a seat at the table — it is claiming its place. The window is open, and the future of African esports will belong to those who act now.
