Ireland’s Peter Connell has delivered the most expensive wicketless spell on ODI debut. He went for 95 runs against New Zealand in the 2008 Aberdeen ODI. Find the same for Test here.

Connell’s bowling figures of 0 for 95 are also the most expensive by any bowler on ODI debut.

Sri Lanka’s Jeffrey Vandersay has bowled the most expensive spell in terms of economy rate on ODI debut (minimum 12 balls bowled). He conceded 34 runs across two overs to record an economy of 17 against New Zealand in the 2015 Christchurch ODI.

Afghanistan’s Yamin Ahmadzai, meanwhile, has bowled the most economical wicketless spell on ODI debut (minimum 12 balls bowled). He had an economy of just 1.33 while conceding four runs in three overs against Zimbabwe in the 2015 Sharjah ODI.

Rishiv Joshi’s bowling figures of 0 for 77 for Canada against the USA are the most expensive by an ODI debutant for an associate team.

Peter Connell has conceded the joint most runs (27) in an over on ODI debut, along with the USA’s Howard Johnson and Leon Romero. Connell did so against New Zealand in the 2008 Aberdeen ODI, while Johnson and Romero went for 27 runs each in the 2004 Champions Trophy encounter against New Zealand.

Keon Harding’s figures of 0 for 88 against Bangladesh are the most expensive by a bowler in the only career ODI match played ever.

Australia’s Mick Lewis has bowled the most expensive wicketless spell in ODIs. He conceded 113 runs in 10 overs against South Africa in the historic 2006 Johannesburg ODI.

Lewis’s figures of 0 for 113 are the second-most expensive by any bowler in ODI cricket.

The Netherland’s Bas de Leede has conceded the most runs in an ODI innings, having given away 115 runs for two wickets against Australia in the 2023 World Cup fixture.
