India is currently the most consistent team across all formats in the world. T20 cricket started getting popular after the inception of the 2007 T20 World Cup and IPL in 2008. It is a format that drives the batsmen to be decisive due to the short timeframe. Batting in this format is considered the easiest among all formats. Despite having the cliché of being the format of hard hitters, you will see the technically sound batsmen on the top. In this article, we will find the batsmen with the most T20I runs for India.Â
Rohit Sharma
It is not surprising that the Indian opener gets the top place in terms of scoring the most T20 runs for India with 4165 runs in 157 T20I matches. Rohit is the oldest T20 player on the Indian side, playing since 2007. The swashbuckling batsman can rip any bowling lineup in the world with his destructive batting. His strike rate of 140.75 and five 100s can push any team on the back foot.Â

In the shortest format of the game, Kohli has hit 37 fifties in T20, which is the most by any player in T20 international.Â

The southpaw has surpassed the mark of 50 runs 11 times in his T20 career.Â
MS Dhoni
The first T20 World Cup winner, MS Dhoni has also made it to this list. Dhoni’s T20 career was of 13 years (2006-2019), in these 13 years, you will see that the Ranchi boy has not scored many fifties but his quick cameos were consistent in every match. In spite of bowling down the order, his average was 37.60, which is phenomenal.Â
