New Instalment Payment and Reporting Enhancements Now Live

We’ve released a number of improvements to our payments platform designed to make instalment plans easier to manage, improve reporting visibility for club administrators and provide a clearer experience for members at checkout.

Track Instalment Progress More Easily

Club administrators can now see an instalment progress count directly within Assignments, making it easier to understand how many payments have been successfully collected and how many are still due.

This enhancement provides a clearer overview of active instalment plans without needing to review individual payment records, helping administrators quickly identify outstanding payments and monitor collection performance.

For clubs managing memberships, season tickets, tours, kit packages or other high-value products paid by instalments, this additional visibility can help reduce administration and improve payment tracking.

We’ve also improved the checkout experience for members purchasing products using subscription or instalment payment plans.

We’ve introduced a clearer confirmation message that explicitly explains when an instalment or subscription plan has been successfully set up.

This additional messaging helps reassure members that their purchase has been completed correctly and provides greater confidence in the payment process.

By reducing uncertainty at checkout, clubs can also benefit from fewer support queries and less follow-up administration.

Improved Handling of Failed Initial Payments

Another important enhancement relates to situations where the initial Stripe payment for an instalment plan fails.

Historically, a failed first payment could sometimes create confusion around the status of the instalment agreement. To improve this process, we have introduced a new automated workflow.

If the initial payment attempt fails, the instalment plan will now be automatically cancelled. The member will receive a notification explaining that the purchase was unsuccessful and advising them to complete the purchase again.

This ensures that only valid and active instalment plans remain in the system, helping clubs maintain more accurate reporting and reducing the likelihood of payment issues being discovered later in the collection process.

Designed to Reduce Administration

These latest enhancements form part of our ongoing investment in payments and financial management tools for clubs.

By improving instalment reporting, providing clearer checkout messaging and automating the handling of failed payment scenarios, clubs can spend less time managing payment issues and more time focusing on their members.

We will continue to develop new payment features and enhancements throughout the year, helping clubs improve collections, reduce administration and deliver a better experience for their members.
