Tom Brady has been retired since 2022, but there is a chance fans will still see him in their cities through his personal businesses. The NFL legend remains active in various endeavors, but one thing he is especially passionate about is bringing himself closer to fans, both literally and figuratively.
Brady, who last played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is not completely away from the NFL, as he still has several broadcasting gigs. He is also helping make the fan experience more entertaining by investing in collectibles. The seven-time NFL champion is busy with CardVault by Tom Brady, a company dedicated to buying, selling, and grading sports cards and collectibles.
CardVault had six stores at the time of Brady’s investment. Since then, it has added nine more locations, with the latest one opening in Austin, Texas.
The company said the Austin location is meant to serve a growing fan base across the city. Brady himself is passionate about card collecting, and he wants fans to feel closer to the sports they love.

“Sports collectibles and cards have been part of my DNA since childhood, and CardVault has set the gold standard for what a modern fan experience should be,” the New England Patriots legend said in February last year upon news of his investment on the company.
“This isn’t just about buying and selling cards; it’s about curating history, building community, turning fans into collectors, and giving them access to own great moments in sports.”
Brady personally flew to Austin to grace his new store.
“Hello, Austin!”, he said in his IG story.
He also shared photos of other collectibles, including a card featuring NBA champion Stephen Curry and a post featuring Kevin Durant in his rare Seattle SuperSonics uniform.
The new store’s grand opening is on Wednesday, and it is lining up several activities for fans to enjoy. These include exclusive merchandise, a mini helmet giveaway, and a limited-edition CardVault cap. All of these will be available only to the first 25 customers.
