Nick LoPiccolo is pushing back hard on the idea that WWE and All Elite Wrestling are locked in a real battle behind the scenes—and he’s speaking from a position that carries weight.
LoPiccolo has worked with top names like Drew McIntyre, Liv Morgan, Blake Monroe, Miro, and CJ Perry, while also having experience dealing with AEW talent. That kind of access gives him a direct line into how deals and decisions are actually made at the top level of the industry.
During his appearance on BodySlam.net’s podcast with Famous Davis, LoPiccolo explained that, from his perspective, talent decisions aren’t driven by AEW competition at all. Instead, he pointed to bigger-picture opportunities as the real focus.
“If you sign the right group of talent at WWE and you represent them individually… it doesn’t matter. They don’t want to go to AEW anyway. What they want is Hollywood… more influence… bigger opportunities.”
From there, he made his stance crystal clear, dismissing the idea that WWE even factors AEW into its strategy.
“WWE doesn’t give a f** about AEW in the first place… which is the whole joke that everyone’s missing. They don’t give a f***. They don’t negotiate against AEW.”*
That comment cuts directly against the long-standing belief that both companies are constantly competing for talent and leverage behind the scenes. Instead, LoPiccolo is painting a picture where WWE operates on its own terms, without reacting to what AEW is doing.
Given his involvement with high-level talent across both sides of the industry, his perspective adds to the conversation about how wrestling business decisions are really made behind closed doors.
