O Gran Camino, Ronde van Limburg

 

“Finally, I got it, it’s been a long way to get there, coming back to this race year after year, and we’ve finally got the win. This is my first, but the race doesn’t end until Saturday, though, so if we can take more wins, we will.”

-Carlos Canal (Movistar) sprinted to victory on stage 2 of O Gran Camino in Barreiros to take his first professional victory.

“I thought Gaviria was in my wheel. So I knew I had to go early, because he’s someone who can launch from far.”

-Tim Merlier wins the Ronde van Limburg. The victory marks his second win in four race days this season, following his win at Scheldeprijs, return to form after a winter with knee problems,
