On May 30, O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford headlines a Matchroom Boxing card in association with Top Rank, live on DAZN at the Fertitta Center in Houston. Foster’s WBC super-featherweight title will be up for grabs.

Ahead of this intriguing bout, Foster has spoken to Fight Hub TV, delivering a bold message to Ford and Shakur Stevenson.

O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford set for May 30 showdown in Houston

Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) makes the first defence of the 130lbs title he won in a rematch against Robson Conceicao, via split decision in November 2024. Foster had lost that title four months earlier against the Brazilian.

The Houston fighter was impressive last time out, dominating Stephen Fulton Jr by scores of 118-110, 119-109, and 117-111. Foster has also recorded entertaining wins against Abraham Nova and Eduardo Hernandez in recent years.

Ford (18-1-1, 8 KOs) has enjoyed his own dramatic win, beating the 126lb boogeyman Otabek Kholmatov. A narrow defeat to Nick Ball, then saw “Savage” move up to 130lbs, where he has won all three fights.

O’Shaquie Foster delivers warning to Ford and Shakur

Discussing accepting the Ray Ford fight and wanting to face Stevenson after, Foster said:

“He (Shakur) said he wanted me to fight his son. He said, ‘Give my son an opportunity and then I’ll fight you.’ Or he said, ‘If you don’t, I won’t fight you.’ So, we looked at our options, and there was a lot of interest in this fight (vs Ray Ford). So, you know, to make the storyline great, might as well beat up the son, then go and see the pops.”

“If after this fight, when I crush his mans, if he says ‘Oh well, I’m not coming back down to 35. You got to meet me.’ I’ll jump 35 and go to 40 just for him. Ain’t nowhere to run. He not no big 40 pounder, or 47 pounder, so it ain’t nothing,” added Foster.
