Green Bay Packers star running back Josh Jacobs is in hot water after reports surfaced on Tuesday that he was arrested on charges of domestic violence.

After a complaint on May 23 and a subsequent investigation, Packers RB Josh Jacobs was arrested this morning and booked into Brown County Jail on five charges: battery/domestic abuse, criminal damage to property/domestic abuse, disorderly conduct/domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim.
ESPN also reported the following charges against the former Alabama Crimson Tide star tailback:
Jacobs, 28, was booked on charges of battery (domestic abuse, criminal damage to property), domestic abuse, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation) and intimidation of a victim.

This is a concerning and serious development for the Packers and the three-time Pro Bowler.
Meanwhile, Jacobs has denied the allegations via a statement by his attorneys.
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course,” attorneys David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac stated.
Jacobs is entering his third season with Green Bay. In his first two years with the team, he recorded 2,258 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns on 535 carries for an average of 4.2 yards per carry across 32 games (all starts).
