The Green Bay Packers know that the 2026 NFL Draft is right around the corner. Despite not having a first round draft pick (via the Micah Parsons trade) they have been meeting with numerous first round prospects.

The Green Bay Packers Release 3 Players Just Before The NFL Draft
The Green Bay Packers have released TEMcCallan Castles, CB Tyron Herring and LB Jamon Johnson.
The transactions were announced on Friday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
All three players spent time on Green Bay’s practice squad last season.
Johnson appeared in two games for Green Bay (Weeks 13 and 18) as a game day elevation, making his first career start in Week 18 at Minnesota.
In his rookie season, Jamon Johnson spent most of his time on Green Bay’s practice squad after going undrafted. The majority of his defensive snaps came against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18, when the Packers rested their starters.
As a result of Tucker Kraft’s injury, McCallan Castles was signed, but he didn’t play and ultimately suffered an injury himself. As an undrafted rookie, Tyron Herring spent multiple stints with Green Bay, but didn’t play in the regular season.
With these three players waived, Green Bay has 76 players on their 90-man roster.Without making additional roster moves, the Packers will still have space to sign six undrafted free agents without making trades that would alter their picks.
It will be interesting to see what kind of moves Green Bay makes in the next few days.
