A huge late change may be coming to WrestleMania 42 — and it could bring Paige back to a WWE ring years after her career was believed to be over.
According to PWInsider, Saraya Jade-Bevis — known to WWE fans as Paige — has signed to return to WWE and is expected to wrestle this weekend at WrestleMania 42.
The report states that Paige is expected to take part in Saturday’s Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way match, likely stepping in for Nikki Bella, who has not been cleared after suffering an ankle injury on SmackDown several weeks ago.
Paige was brought into Las Vegas quietly ahead of the event and was seen taking part in a run-through for the match earlier this week, which suggests WWE is already preparing for the possibility that Nikki won’t be ready in time.
If this happens, it would mark Paige’s first WWE match in years. She was forced to retire from in-ring competition in 2018 after suffering a serious neck injury that led WWE doctors to rule her medically unable to compete.
After leaving WWE in 2022, Paige later returned to wrestling in AEW, where she resumed her in-ring career and eventually won the AEW Women’s Championship before departing the company in 2025.
Now, with WrestleMania 42 just a day away and Nikki Bella’s status still uncertain, Paige stepping in would be one of the biggest surprises of the entire weekend — especially considering her career was once thought to be finished for good.
