Para duo Sam and Matthew all set for Virtus Europeans in Poland

Team announcement story

Sport Excel UK are delighted to announce the GB Athletics Team selected to represent Great Britain at the 2026 Virtus European Summer Games in Bydgoszcz, Poland, from 3-12 July 2026.

The team brings together a blend of experienced international performers, returning championship athletes and exciting new talent as Great Britain prepares to compete against some of Europe’s leading athletes with intellectual impairment.

And there is a Scottish representation in the right-strong team via the inclusion of Sam Fernando in endurance and Matthew Power in the sprints.
