Team Scotland today revealed the full team for the track and field programme at Glasgow 2026.

A further 28 names have been added to previous announcements to take to 39 in total our cohort to compete in the Commonwealth Games this summer.

Three athletes were pre-selected last autumn – Jake Wightman, Megan Keith and Neil Gourley – and they were joined by eight Para athletes in May.

A further 28 athletes have now been picked for the action at Scotstoun via a detailed process and the Team Scotland selection uncludes Mixed 4x400m Relay and Women 4x100m Relay selections.

Laura Muir and Eilish McColgan were among those confirmed today with Laura taking on the 5000m and Eilish seeking to defend the 10,000m title she won at Birmingham 2022.

Muir, McColgan and Wightman all competed at Glasgow 2014 and so did hammer thrower Chris Bennett and pole vaulter Jax Thoirs.

Scottish Combined Events is well represented via decathlon selections Callum Newby and Joel McFarlane as well as heptathlete, Allie Routledge.

The athletics action at Scotstoun runs over six days from the morning of Monday 27 July to the evening of Saturday 1 August.
