The Pistons and Grizzlies have agreed to a trade that sends Isaiah Stewart to Memphis in exchange for three second-round picks.

Detroit had been exploring the market for Stewart throughout June and used the deal to create additional financial flexibility as the front office continues searching for more offensive firepower around Cade Cunningham.

The Pistons have been connected to several guards and wings this offseason, including Coby White, Norman Powell, and Tyler Herro, as they look to improve their shot creation and perimeter scoring.

Stewart leaves Detroit with two years and $30 million remaining on his contract, along with a team option for the 2027-28 season.

The veteran big man appeared in 58 games last season, averaging 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22.7 minutes per contest.

For Memphis, Stewart adds frontcourt depth, physicality, and defensive versatility, while Detroit appears positioned to use its newly created cap flexibility to pursue additional roster upgrades.
