PONTIANAK, Indonesia — Indonesia’s Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi, Korea’s Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, Iran’s Foolad Sirjan Iranian, and Japan’s JTEKT Stings Aichi advanced to the semifinals of the AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 after winning their quarterfinal matches at the Terpadu Gymnasium in Pontianak.
Host club Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi secured its place in the Final Four after defeating Kazakhstan’s Zhayik 25-19, 25-27, 25-19, 25-21 in front of a lively home crowd.
Hyundai Capital Skywalkers also moved through after overcoming Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club in four sets, 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21.
Japan’s JTEKT Stings Aichi advanced with a straight-sets victory over Thailand’s Nakhonratchasima 3M Films, winning 25-20, 25-14, 25-18, while Foolad Sirjan Iranian completed the semifinal lineup after sweeping Indonesia’s Jakarta Garuda Jaya 25-14, 25-12, 25-12.
The results set up a continental Final Four featuring clubs from Southeast Asia, East Asia, and West Asia, with the tournament now entering its decisive stage.
The semifinals also carry major international implications, as the two finalists will qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Club World Championship to represent Asia on the world stage.
AVC President Ramon Suzara said the semifinal lineup reflects the continued rise of club volleyball across the continent.
“The AVC Men’s Champions League 2026 has delivered a very high level of competition, and the Final Four teams have shown the depth, discipline, and quality that now define Asian volleyball,” Suzara said.
“With clubs from different regions of Asia advancing to the semifinals, this tournament continues to demonstrate the strong development of volleyball throughout the continent and the growing passion for the sport among Asian fans,” he added.
The semifinals will continue in Pontianak as the four remaining clubs battle for places in the championship match and qualification to the world championship.
