Purani Dilli 6 Dominates Delhi Lions with a 7-Wicket Victory

In this Adani Delhi Premier League T20 event, Purani Dilli 6 defeated West Delhi Lions by seven wickets after suffering two straight losses.

On Wednesday night, Purani Dilli 6 was able to limit the West Delhi Lions to 141/9 in 20 overs with to the contributions of Laxman (3/31) and Aayush Singh Thakur 2/27.

Arpit Rana then led Purani Dilli 6 to chase down the goal in 17.1 overs with an undefeated 56 off 43 balls.

Purani Dilli 6 proceeded with great aggression in their run chase after establishing the tone with the ball.

With fluid strokes, Rana took the lead, and Manjeet gave constant assistance. Up until Manjeet was removed in the fourth over, the two were scoring at a rate of more than ten runs per over. At 56/1 at the end of the powerplay, Purani Dilli 6 had established a commanding lead.

Following a 27-run partnership off 33 balls between Shivam Gupta (13 off 20) and Hrithik Shokeen, the former was removed by Laxman in the eighth over.

While forming a valuable relationship with Dev Lakra, Captain Hrithik Shokeen ensured that the scoreboard was maintained ticking from the other end. For the fifth wicket, the pair quickly put up 31 runs in just 25 balls together. In the twelfth over, Hrithik was removed after scoring 28 runs from 32 balls, including three boundaries.

With Ekansh scoring 34 off of just 14 balls and Lakra scoring 26 off of 24 balls, West Delhi Lions amassed a score of 141/9 in the 20 overs that were allocated to them.
