R-Truth may have signed a lengthy new WWE deal, but he does not expect to stay for the entire term.
While speaking to Daniel Sadoh, Truth was asked about his future after previously revealing that he signed a four-year contract with WWE. Although the deal could keep him with the company for several more years, Truth admitted he believes his in-ring career will end before the contract runs its full course: “I’ll be done before then.”
That was Truth’s immediate response when asked what the next five years of his career might look like. He then clarified that he still plans to be around for a while, but made it clear he does not expect to remain active for all four years of the agreement.
“I’ll be around. I signed a four-year deal. But it’s like—the sky is the limit, man. It’ll always be the limit. I don’t believe in aging.”
Truth’s comments show that while WWE has him under contract long-term, he is already thinking about stepping away from full-time competition before the deal expires. The conversation then shifted to the idea of a farewell tour. Daniel Sadoh noted that many fans would support a final run, and Truth admitted he is open to the concept.
“A farewell tour for me? I’m open to it. I’ve had so many different ideas of how I want that to go down, because it will go down.”
R-Truth explained that he has already imagined how he would like to close out his wrestling career, but he does not want to reveal too much before the time is right.
“I think it’s just—I don’t want to talk prematurely about it and just let the chips fall where they may. I’m the type of man—I push ideas and creativity just out of the air, because life gives you those moments to do that.”
Truth returned to WWE in June 2025 and later revealed that he signed a four-year contract. At the time, many assumed the deal would keep him with the company through the end of the decade. Now, Truth is making it clear he does not expect to stay that long. For now, R-Truth remains an active part of WWE, but his comments strongly suggest that his farewell tour may arrive sooner than his contract would indicate.
What do you think about R-Truth saying he won’t finish his current WWE contract? Would you like to see WWE give him a proper farewell tour? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback in the comments.
