It appears that former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love will have no shortage of suitors in the 2026 NFL Draft. Love is now getting linked to yet another NFL team, in a new ESPN report.
ESPN writer Dan Graziano thinks the Los Angeles Rams could end up trading up in the draft for a chance to select Love.
“So, if the Rams think they can find the impact receiver in the second round or later, what do they do in the first? Could be anything. Some people are even watching to see if they make a big move up for Love, who would be a very exciting cherry on top of their offensive sundae. There’s always the chance they trade down the way they did last year,” Graziano wrote.
Love is considered one of top offensive threats available in the 2026 Draft. Playing for Notre Dame in 2025, the rusher posted 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. He also caught three touchdown passes for a Notre Dame team that famously came up just short of a bid in the College Football Playoff.
The Rams finished the 2025 NFL season making the NFL Playoffs. L.A. lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game.
Rams have choices to make heading into the NFL Draft
It is not clear what the Rams will do in the first round of the 2026 draft.
“Most mock drafts seem to have the Rams taking a wide receiver, but the last wideout they took in the first round was Tavon Austin in 2013,” Graziano added. “In the meantime, they’ve established a good track record of finding wide receivers in later rounds — Cooper Kupp in the third, Josh Reynolds in the fourth, Puka Nacua in the fifth. You get the idea.”
The ESPN writer thinks the Rams could also go with a quarterback early in the draft.
“And then there’s the Ty Simpson factor. The Rams have been connected to the Alabama quarterback in league circles for a while now. It’s an open secret that they like him,” Graziano added.
The Rams currently hold the 13th overall pick in the draft.
