Randy Orton had a tense moment during WrestleMania week in Las Vegas when a large crowd of fans surrounded him inside the MGM Grand Hotel.
Unlike CM Punk’s, Orton’s situation didn’t turn physical. However, it highlights a growing issue in WWE where fans are approaching WWE stars in uncontrolled places. Some reports say that the rising ticket and meet-and-greet prices under TKO Group Holdings could be part of the problem.
This was noticeable especially during WrestleMania weekend.
Randy Orton caught in crowd of fans during WrestleMania week
In the video clip, Orton could be seen walking inside the hotel, trying to reach the elevators. At first, only a few fans noticed him, but soon after, a big crowd gathered around him.
Orton was visibly uncomfortable as fans started shouting, following him closely, and recording him on their phones without his consent. But even with all the chaos, he stayed calm and kept walking. He didn’t stop to interact with anyone.
In the past, Orton has had some heated moments with fans. For example, in 2013 in Cape Town, he was attacked by a fan and reacted before security stepped in. He has also been strict about not interrupting at the gym.
But this time was different. Even though he looked annoyed, Orton stayed calm and didn’t react.
The Viper wasn’t the only one dealing with this during WrestleMania weekend. Around the same time, CM Punk had his own incident. He reportedly stepped in when a fan was filming Bayley and AJ Lee without permission and knocked the fan’s phone down before security handled it. Damian Priest also had an incident with the crowd.
The video is a reminder of how tough it can be for WWE stars in public during big events. It also raises bigger questions about fan behavior and respecting boundaries.
