Megan Keith broke the Scottish Record for women’s 3000m at the Diamond League in Oslo.
Megan took 10 seconds off her PB to post 8:28.35 for seventh place in the race in Norway.
That took down the Scottish Record outdoors for the event, held since 1988 by Yvonne Murray (at 8:29.02). Megan is now third on the UK all-time list.
Well done to Megan, her family, coach Ross Cairns and all at Inverness Harriers and Edinburgh Uni involved in the development over a number of years.
Jake Wightman was fifth in Oslo in the Dream Mile event as he clocked 3: 49.36.
In the same programme, there was a 1500m equal PB for Kane Elliott with the Falkirk Vics athlete at 3:37.20. Andrew McGill was at 3:39.51.
Neil Gourley returned to track action after a long absence at a meeting in France. Neil posted 3:41.92 with Cameron Boyek at 3:42.20.
Long jumper Stephen Mackenzie enjoyed another competition win in Croatia. Stephen was at 7.97m (to equal his legal PB after 8.01m windy recently).
