Report: Juventus Want Alisson transfer

An Italian report has claimed that Alisson has opened the door to a summer transfer, while Arne Slot and Dominik Szoboszlai have given press conferences ahead of Liverpool vs. PSG.

Juventus targeting Alisson transfer

Liverpool recently triggered an extension to Alisson‘s contract, locking him down until the summer of 2027, but that hasn’t prevented the Brazilian from being linked with a move away before then.

Not for the first time, Juventus have been touted as a possible destination, with La Gazzetta dello Sport now claiming that talks “have been positive” with the Brazilian’s entourage.

The Italian newspaper reported that Juventus “have set their sights on the former Giallorossi (Roma) player at the start of 2026 and have been exploring the situation in recent days, finding the field open.”

Interestingly, they added that the 33-year-old “has opened the door to a move to Juventus.”

While La Gazzetta aren’t known for their reliable transfer reporting, it is possible that Alisson‘s deal was extended in order for Liverpool to recoup a fee for the ‘keeper.

This would go against what transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed in March, when he said Alisson “really wants to fulfil his contract at Liverpool, one more season, until June 2027 and then eventually consider his future.”

Amid ticket price protests and some players not being at one with the mood of the supporters, Rob Glover wrote about how fans are feeling disenfranchised by the state of modern football:

“Football was never built on polished messaging, premium positioning or neatly managed audiences. It was built on feeling.

“On ritual, on sacrifice, on working-class people structuring their weeks, their moods and in many cases, their lives around their club.

“The atmosphere, the edge, the unpredictability, the emotional charge of it all, that is not something added on top.”

Liverpool FC: On this day

April 13, 1988 saw Liverpool produce one of the most brilliant performances in their history as they beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 at Anfield, having also knocked them out of the FA Cup 2-1 just days earlier.

With John Aldridge netting a brace to go alongside goals from Ray Houghton, Peter Beardsley and centre-back Gary Gillespie, the Reds’ performance is remembered as one of the game’s greatest showings of attacking football.

In fact, the legendary Tom Finney once described it as “the finest exhibition I’ve seen the whole time I’ve played and watched the game.

“You couldn’t see it bettered anywhere, not even in Brazil!”
