Report: Rangers targeting Bryan Reynolds for summer move

Bryan Reynolds is heading into the final season of his contract at Belgian side Westerlo but reportedly could be on the move before it ends.

Scottish Premiership giants Rangers are targeting Reynolds as a potential summer addition, Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad reported Tuesday. Reynolds is being labeled as a key replacement for longtime right back and captain James Tavernier, who left Rangers at the end of the 2025-26 season.

A former MLS homegrown defender with FC Dallas, Reynolds originally joined Westerlo on loan from AS Roma in 2022 before making a permanent move the following summer. He’s been a consistent starter for the club over the past few seasons, making 146 appearances and scoring five goals in all competitions.

Reynolds is coming off the most productive season of his career to date, scoring two goals and adding three assists in 40 appearances.

He also played for Roma and Kortrijk before becoming a staple for Westerlo.

Reynolds has earned seven caps for the U.S. men’s national team to date and previously featured for several youth national teams.

Rangers finished third in the Premiership last season, missing out on a return to the UEFA Champions League. Danny Rohl’s squad will enter the Europa League qualifying round later this summer.
