Returning squad – Blackheath Rugby

With a successful 2025/26 National One campaign under our belts, culminating in promotion to Level Two of England Rugby, we look towards 2026-27 and are delighted that so many players who represented the 1st XV last season will continue to wear Club colours in the Champ.

Tom Stradwick, Head Coach, says “I am really pleased we have retained so many of the players from last season. I think it’s a testament to the team culture and how well the players get on with each other. Also, I think as a team we have improved massively from the start of last season and I believe there is plenty more growth to come. 

I fully trust this group of players to give everything they have during every match and I am sure we will continue to show that grit next season.”

Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director agrees and says “It’s been a very busy few weeks since winning the accession final; lots to do and plenty of conversations with new partners and sponsors but it’s all worth it when you see the players from last season so keen to have a real go at the Champ for this coming season. The culture and quality of the squad was the stand out difference last season and we are all looking forward to seeing how we go in the Champ!”
