Ric Flair Says “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig Roofied Him On The Plane Ride From Hell

Ric Flair dropped multiple wild road stories during his appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, claiming that the late Curt Hennig roofied him on a night out that led to him waking up in Baltimore missing three Rolex watches, and separately saying he has lost four Rolex watches in total from nights hanging out with The Undertaker.

The stories came during a freewheeling stretch of the interview where Flair was reminiscing about the road lifestyle in the 1980s and 1990s.

“We Were The Beatles”

“I didn’t go to bed in the 80s. I’m not sure I’ve slept yet. Brother, we were the Beatles. Man, Four Horsemen coming in town, ladies and gentlemen, the Marriott Hotel Tonight, 18 to 28, no boyfriends, no husbands. LFG.”

The Undertaker Rolex Story

Flair then admitted that The Undertaker was often involved in the nights that cost him his watches.

“I’ve lost four Rolexes hanging out with The Undertaker, that son of a b––.”

The Curt Hennig Roofie And Sabatino’s Story

Flair followed up with a story about Curt Hennig that he said explained one of the Rolex losses.

“Because I used to get drunk with him and then Curt Hennig had roofied me. I woke up one night in Baltimore with two girls. My wallet was gone, my rental was gone, so I’m married, right. Then I go, ‘Okay, girls, what the f––? Where’s my s––?’ They said, ‘You threw your three Rolexes into a bowl of spaghetti last night at Sabatino’s.’ I had 13 of them. Well, what am I gonna do? Call the cops? I’m married.”

Flair Also Says Hennig Roofied Him On The Plane Ride From Hell

Helwani pressed Flair on the Hennig reference.

“You said Curt Hennig roofied you.”

Flair confirmed it and tied a second roofie incident to the 2002 Plane Ride From Hell.

“Yeah, he roofied me in the plane ride from hell too, brother.”

“Hey and Ariel, if you can find enough money, I’ll tell you the whole story.”

Flair also referenced the civil litigation he faced from women who were on the 2002 flight.

“All those girls that sued me — if I had a decent lawyer back then, but I lost my memory after being sick and all that. You can’t take four beautiful women, which they were, on a seven-day tour with 25 wrestlers. Sorry, it just doesn’t stack up.”

The Plane Ride From Hell took place on May 5, 2002 on a WWE-chartered flight from London to the United States following a European tour. The flight became notorious for multiple incidents involving the roster, including a backstage fight between Hennig and Brock Lesnar that ended with both men nearly opening an emergency door at altitude.

Flair has previously been associated with the Plane Ride From Hell for his own alleged behavior during the flight, which was the subject of a 2021 Dark Side of the Ring documentary and later settled lawsuits.

Curt Hennig, who wrestled as Mr. Perfect and was a two-time AWA World Champion, died on February 10, 2003, less than a year after the Plane Ride From Hell. He was 44 years old. Hennig was fired by WWE in the aftermath of the flight.
