Ritchey x Blue Lug 20th Anniversary Garden City Frames | The Radavist

The Ritchey Garden City Frames were first introduced in 2024. They are city track frames designed by Tom for Fergus Tanaka at Ritchey. Today Blue Lug in Japan announces its 20th Anniversary Garden City Frames. Read on for an introduction to this collaboration by Shin from Blue Lug below!

In the early days of Blue Lug, Japan was going through a track bike boom. We were very obsessed with following the track bike and bike messenger culture in SF.

We would watch video parts, over and over, read magazines and try to learn about the culture as much as we can, when social media was not as common as these days.

Fergus was one of the riders that many of us are fans of, since his bike messengering days, and we are very honored that Ritchey let us make these limited color Garden City frames for our 20th anniversary.

The special color-way is based off the asphalt and the blue bike lane markings on the streets of Tokyo. Grey and blue also happens to be the symbol color of the JKA (Japan Keirin Autorace Foundation), making it the perfect color for this collaboration track frame.

They will be limited edition of 100 worldwide and each will be issued with a serial number.

The frame’s geometry is the exact same as the first batch, with no cable guides.

The pricing of the frames are $1,375 USD and will be released through our website and our physical stores.

Japan release : June 26th (Fri) 12:00 pm
Worldwide online release : June 29th (Mon) 7:00pm (JST)

We would like to thank Ritchey and Fergus for this amazing opportunity.

See more at Blue Lug!
