Rush is not staying quiet after a fan claimed he and Dralistico may be left off AEW Grand Slam Mexico because of past issues with CMLL.
The discussion started after a fan on Twitter claimed Rush and Dralistico would likely never appear at a potential AEW Grand Slam Mexico event because of their complicated fallout with CMLL years ago.
The fan referenced Rush’s 2019 departure from CMLL after he no-showed the company’s 86th Anniversary event on the same day he defeated Matt Taven for the ROH World Championship. The post also mentioned how Rush publicly declared that neither he nor his family would belong to anyone, leading to CMLL announcing the departures of both Rush and Dragon Lee.
The fan further pointed toward Dralistico and Dragon Lee later winning the AAA World Tag Team Championships and claimed the situation effectively burned bridges with CMLL permanently. Rush clearly did not appreciate that version of events. Responding to the fan, he fired back and accused them of spreading lies.
“Just like you, there are many. Full of lies. If you don’t know the story, better stay quiet, you filthy one.”
That response now puts Rush’s side of the situation front and center. While fans continue debating whether past CMLL issues could impact a potential AEW Grand Slam Mexico appearance, Rush made it clear he believes the version being circulated online is not accurate.
