Santino Marella was in the house for WWE Clash in Italy.
The show took place at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, marking WWE’s first-ever Premium Live Event in the country. WWE opened the night with Cody Rhodes vs. GUNTHER for the Undisputed WWE Championship, but there were also plenty of familiar faces in the building. One of them was TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella.
It was previously noted that WWE had plans to bring Marella in for the show, and he ended up being there. That made sense, given Santino’s Italian roots and WWE running such a big event in Italy.
He wasn’t the only extra name at the event either. Austin Theory, Bron Breakker, Giulia, Liv Morgan, and LA Knight were also present despite not being booked for matches. WWE also had several Italian celebrities in attendance, including rapper Capo Plaza, Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, radio host Gianluca Gazzoli, and producer Sick Luke.
Clash in Italy was already a historic night for WWE, and having Santino Marella there gave the show another cool Italian connection.
