India About to Win the First Test:

India is just six wickets away from securing a victory over Bangladesh, which would give them an unassailable lead in the two-match Test series. Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill starred with centuries, scoring 109 and 119 runs, respectively, as India declared their second innings at 287/4, setting a challenging target of 515 runs.

In response, Bangladesh got off to a promising start with openers Shadman Islam and Zakir Hasan adding 62 runs for the first wicket. However, Jasprit Bumrah broke the partnership by dismissing Zakir, followed by Ravichandran Ashwin claiming the wickets of Islam, Mominul Haque, and Mushfiqur Rahim. As the day concluded, Bangladesh finished at 158/4, with captain Najmul Hossain Shanto remaining unbeaten on 51.
