The Dodgers (28-18) scored a season-high 15 runs last night for a 15-2 win and a fourth consecutive win. Today, they have a chance for their first sweep since they swept the Mets on April 13-15 and only their second five-game winning streak of 2026.

Roki Sasaki gets the ball for the Dodgers against the formerly highly-touted Orioles prospect Grayson Rodriguez, who makes his Angel debut after missing a couple months in 2024 and all of 2025 with arm injuries. Mookie Betts and Will Smith get days off for the Dodgers heading into a series in San Diego starting tomorrow, with Miguel Rojas starting at short and Dalton Rushing behind the plate.

The Dodgers made a few roster moves today.
Jack Dreyer was placed on the IL with some shoulder discomfort. Imaging showed some inflammation, but the Dodgers think this could be a minimum stay on the IL (see you in 2030 Dreyer). Charlie Barnes was optioned after pitching in each of the first two games of this series. Paul Gervase returns and Chayce McDermott gets his first call up with the Dodgers after appearing in five games with Baltimore over the last two seasons.
The Dodgers also added a bit of starting pitching depth, acquiring the recently-DFA’d Eric Lauer from Toronto. Brusdar Graterol hit the 60-day IL to make room on the 40-man.
Dodgers make it official: they acquired Eric Lauer from the Blue Jays for cash considerations.
To make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred RHP Brusdar Graterol to the 60-day IL. https://t.co/8s0sE77Qdf

Lauer has a 4.26 career ERA, but a 2.90 in 13 career starts against the Dodgers. The former Padre and Brewer posted a career-best 3.18 ERA in 28 appearances (15 starts) for Toronto last season, but posted a 6.69 in eight appearances (six starts) this season before being DFA’d. A fine buy-low candidate that can maybe eat a few innings with Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow both on the IL, at least until River Ryan is built up enough to return to the rotation.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:07 PM PT and will be on SportsNet LA and the Angels channel.
